1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Cirflect, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. Cirflect is operated from Sweden.

2. What Cirflect Is

Cirflect is a personal journaling/diary platform with community support circles and an AI journal companion. It is designed for personal reflection, emotional expression, and peer support.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Cirflect, in accordance with Swedish digital consent rules under the GDPR. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

4. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• You must provide accurate information during registration
• You may only create one account per person
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create on Cirflect, including journal entries, posts, and messages. By sharing content in circles or publicly, you grant Cirflect a limited license to display that content to other users as you intended based on your privacy settings.

You may delete your content at any time. Deleted content will be removed from the platform.

6. Acceptable Use

When using Cirflect, you agree not to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Share other users' private content or personal information without consent
• Post content that is illegal under Swedish or EU law
• Impersonate another person or create misleading accounts
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the platform
• Exploit the platform for commercial purposes, spam, or advertising
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise platform security
• Encourage self-harm, suicide, or violence against others

7. Support Circles and Community

• Circles are communities built on mutual support and respect
• Anonymous posting is a privilege — do not abuse it to harass others
• Support messages should be genuine and encouraging
• Sharing someone else's anonymous post outside the circle is a violation of trust and these terms

8. AI Journal Companion

• The AI companion is provided as a reflective journaling tool
• AI responses are generated by a machine learning model and may not always be accurate or appropriate
• Do not rely on the AI for medical, legal, financial, or professional advice
• The AI may display crisis resources if it detects concerning content — this is a safety feature, not a diagnosis
• AI conversations are processed locally on our server and are not shared with third parties

9. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We use automated keyword detection for user safety (crisis detection), but do not actively monitor private journal entries.

10. Platform Availability

Cirflect is provided "as is" and "as available." We strive to keep the platform running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Cirflect is not liable for any decisions you make based on AI responses or community interactions
• Cirflect is not liable for content posted by other users
• Cirflect is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to use Cirflect (which is zero for our free service)

12. Donations

Cirflect is free to use. We may accept voluntary donations to support the platform. Donations are non-refundable and do not grant any additional features, privileges, or guarantees beyond those available to all users.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of Cirflect after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes will be resolved in Swedish courts. As an EU consumer, you may also have rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
